The Goldenes Schwert is a gay-friendly modern hotel situated in the heart of Zurich's old town, within 500 metres of the Lake and Fraumunster Church. There are 22 guestrooms over three floors, individually decorated in bright colours and modern furnishings, and all of which include cable television, minibars, safes, wireless Internet, and bathrooms with hairdryers.
Breakfast is available in the mornings and the hotel bar, Pigalle, serves drinks and snacks and features a mosaic wall depicting scenes of Parisian life. Limited garage parking is available for a surcharge (28 CHF per day). Many of the city's attractions are a short walk away, such as the lake and Kunsthaus Art Museum, and Uetliberg, two kilometres away, offers impressive views over the city. Zurich Airport (ZRH) is 25 minutes by car, 12 kilometres (seven miles) from the hotel.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS
The airport has a Swiss Federal Railways Station located under
Terminal B, with trains to central Zurich connecting by Tram Li
ne 4 to Rathaus Station, 500 metres from the hotel. Taxis can b
e found outside terminals A and B. The hotel also offers an air
port shuttle bus service for 19 CHF. The centre of Zurich can b
e explored on foot, and the network of trams and buses provide
a cheap, reliable service.
Driving directions: From
the airport take the highway and follow signs for Zurich, then
Central Place, Seilergraben, Hirschengraben, Kirchgasse, Munste
rgasse and Marktgasse, where the hotel is located.
